Avonmouth

Here is my main logo. I have no idea why I chose to use the ICI logo, maybe it was the wavy lines, like traces on the oscillascopes. David Hopkinson helped me with the graphics as he often does when I can talk him into it. Graphics, logos, designs, artwork all seemed important, even though they were fairly pointless.

An old html website I ran back then would be the main destination for most images and graphics (this is archived somewhere). I was loosely working towards a self released CD which was to be called ‘Avonmouth’. A few of the designs are below. My friend Heath Bunting and I made a couple of canoe voyages to Denny island which is out in the middle of the Bristol Channel and the photos were taken during those trips.

Me and Heath paddled from Bristol city centre to Denny Island. As we passed Avonmouth I took this. I like the way the mud bank blends into the water.

This was a mock-up graphic for another release that never happened. What it tells me though is what I thought was a decent track listing. I can digitise these tracks and see this bit of archive through to a kind of mock-up ending.
