Crow Memory Work

This is an ongoing (in development) work for one Kodak slide projector and hand made screen. The screen has been coated with glow-in-the-dark paint and holds a memory of the slide when the slide changes to a blank slide, which is  a piece of black foil.  The slides are found footage, effectively, bought at a jumble sale. They are a series of photographs of Crows by Eric Hosking  and also Owls.

The screen is a piece of plywood that stands away from the wall or surface, mounted on a lighting stand. The timing on the slide changer is set to correspond with  the best potion of the fading temporary image.

The work is available to show if anyone wants it.

It is about the intrigue and allurement of temporary but novelty  effects or imagery, the vanishing and extinction as perceptions.

Please contact my agent if you are interested in showing or buying this artwork. (that’s a joke, I don’t have an agent).

This isn’t a very good video so I’ll set it up again and do a better documentation of it.
