<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nI’ve been buying up as many kodak gelatin CC filters as possible with odds and sods of colours for a while now but the other week I bought a lot on ebay that seemed to have quite a few. When I opened them I was amazed as there is a complete set.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
These filters are very useful when colour printing as this is going to be a focus going into autumn and winter.<\/p>\r\n
As it goes, Kodak have ONLY JUST removed the listings for these filters form their motion picture products catalogue where they were listed for about $60 EACH!! There are 6 grades in each of 7 colours making 42 filters amounting to $2500 worth of gelatin.<\/p>\r\n

One thing required for sure is longer and more complex tests. As the ECP process is not quick, its important to yield as much info as possible from runs through the printers.<\/p>\r\n

Heres a bit of fun with LEE filter number 242, a kind of pale green meant to balance flourescent lights out but here placed over a magenta faded film strip. As the Cyan and Yellow (=green) layers are the ones that have faded the LACK of green makes the image that ghoulish, ghastly, sickly, pink colour that is so common on old film. Its not perfect, but now with a full set of CC filters I can tweak this test until it works.<\/p>\r\n
