UN – finished business
Actually, the end is the beginning. I played in a live ‘NoiseJam’ at the ICA in London before doing anything as Vi. Others there were Andy Gracie, Peter Hodgkinson (TUNK), Barry Nichols (ECM) and others (David Gilchrist mixed live) who I later invited to perform at an event at the Cube called ‘1000 Years Of Cinema’. I had a scanner (radio scanner) and a laptop with samples of analogue synths that I played in soundforge, usually slowed down, and sounds of bells, etc. Everyone cued their own sounds but Dave mixed in live, so he chose and arranged the whole piece. I can remember it was very loud but not many people.
I also took the jam idea and put on one NoiseJam event at the Cube.
Ill try and dig out documentation of this stuff in the coming months of C-19 tedium.
